For the price, this place really did feel like a bit of well-deserved luxury, whilst still connected to the heart of the town, and for a good price too. We stayed here for two or three nights before heading to Abene on a five week trip to Senegal. It's a great location - walking distance from everything, opposite the Alliance Francais, which hosts cultural events, and where we were lucky enough to catch Baaba Maal. The rooms are kept nice and clean - ours had a tv, a fridge, a decent double bed, a really good (hot!) shower, and there was a decent effort at wifi in the restaurant. There was also a nice central pool, which it was amazing to dive into after a hot and dusty day in town. The garden is handsome, the staff experienced and very friendly, especially the barman who we enjoyed bantering with. The kitchen knocked us up decent, if a little repetitive, vegetarian food, and our laundry was done quickly and for a nominal charge. This place deserves to be much, much busier - only criticism was that it was a bit quiet! This reflects a drop in tourism from Europe during the economic crisis that we found throughout Senegal, so I don't think it was a reflection on the hotel. All in all, a lovely spot to recharge the batteries.

the bar and the retaurant are very poor. do not expect anything special out there. Rather go out and try other places
